Twenty-seven EU member states have unanimously recognized Ukraine as a member state.
According to foreign media, the process of Ukraine becoming a full member
of the European Union may take many years or decades.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Putin has thanked European leaders for the decision,
while the Russian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned
the decision in Brussels.
